Working with Young People in Uganda

One of the main reasons for our visit to Uganda in 2008 was to try and ascertain what was most needed to help our partners and to work out what Tillydrone may be able to do to be of  help in achieving their aims.

Tillydrone: Sharing the Vision

Project  2010

   Raising Funds

      To Buy a Tractor

One major item specified was the need f or Tractor. This would allow the School to rent some farmland and be able to grow  a major part of their own food needs. Every child attending Bezallel School receives a daily meal, normally a Millet Porridge. The plan is to recruit the help of  some Local Community Members and start growing much of their own foodstuffs to supplement the Children’s diet. Tillydrone has agreed to do our bit by raising funds to help buy a Tractor for the School. Our Vision is to have raised enough funds to be able to take with us to Uganda whilst visiting our friends at Bezallel in February 2010.  We plan to be able to take along three teenagers from Tillydrone to do some voluntary work and find out for themselves what daily living is like for people in Uganda.
