Working with Young People in Uganda
Bezallel School: Kamuli was founded by Pastor Fred Ssempijja in 2000.He hoped to be able to do something to help provide an education for many of the orphaned children of Kamuli. With the support and hard work of the Elders and Congregation of Pastor Fred’s Church they founded Bezallel School.

Tillydrone: Helping Young People in Uganda
Bezallel School,
Kamuli Township,
Today there are almost 500 children attending the School. Whist many locals now choose
to have their children
educated here, Bezallel still remains true to it’s original
purpose. A look at the School Roll shows that more than 60% of children attending
the School are Orphan Children. The Picture on the right shows one of the first
Classrooms to be built at Bezallel. The Gentleman in the blue shirt is Wilber who
is the Head Teacher at the School. The other gentleman is Stephen Gesa, a dear Friend
who makes a really nice breakfast and the best Chapati I have ever tasted. Stephen
and the family cooked breakfast for us during our stay in Kamuli . We are looking
Forward to Stephen visiting with us in Aberdeen in a few weeks time. Watch out for
further details of his visit. We are in discussions with Staff at Riverbank Primary
School, Aberdeen City Council, and Bezallel Preparatory School, Kamuli Uganda, in
the hope of being able to have a Twinning Link between the schools.
In the past the children from the schools have exchanged letters and we hope to start doing this again quite soon. A Twinning Agreement would allow the schools to share news stories and allow links between our schools to be further developed for the future.
